The easy part of your week.
New Moms'
Therapy Group
We are no longer accepting applications for the May, 2024 cohort of the group, but will run it again in the Fall. If you are interested in being added to the waitlist, please contact me.
Are you a new mom?
Have you been feeling alone, stressed, or overwhelmed?
Then this group is for you. Being a new mom can be both challenging and rewarding, and as counsellors and moms ourselves, we know how important it is to feel connected with yourself and others as you make this transition.
In our New Moms' Group, we welcome you to a virtual space where you can process your experiences and receive support from counsellors. We will discuss:
-
Changes to your sense of self
-
Changes to your relationship with your significant other(s)
-
Changes to relationships with friends and family
-
Societal and family expectations and pressures
-
The many emotions - the love, worry, frustration, anger, sadness, and confusion.
This is an online therapy group, so join us from the comfort of your home, in your sweatpants, stained shirt, and messy bun. We welcome you just the way you are.

Benefits of group therapy
Group therapy is a cost-effective way to access professional counselling. It provides a supportive environment to:
-
feel more connected to a community of other moms
-
get to know yourself in this new role, and be kind to yourself as you learn
-
feel relief from worry and tension
-
help other moms feel less alone by sharing your stories and experiences
-
receive support, empathy, understanding, and tools to meet those hard days.
Application
To apply, please email us here and we will get in touch to arrange a short video or phone conversation where you can ask us any questions you may have and we can tell you a little more about the group.
About Us
Hi, we are Andrea (M.Ed., pre-certified counsellor) and Zoë (M.Ed., RCC, CCC). We are two moms who met at Simon Fraser University's Counselling Psychology graduate program, and now live in Alberta and BC, respectively. When not parenting and counselling, Andrea can be found doing yoga and FaceTiming with friends, and Zoë can be found hiking in the forest and reading trashy fiction.
ā
We believe that all mothers are strong warriors who do their best to meet each new challenge with love, fortitude, and courage. And because that can be exhausting, we also believe that we all deserve support, community, and a place to belong.
We are excited to give you that.
